Creative Scarecrows from a Dark (Humored) Mind

Big Bad (2204) is one of my earlier attempts at a completely straw scarecrow over a woodern frame. Lots of fishing line and an Elmer's wash, and he lasted for years.

This is the Doctor of the scarecrow duo from 2011 "HMO-CroWoes". You may have to zoom in to read the doctor's bedside advice as he holds a wallet in hand to the patient . His name tag -- dern wind -- reads 'Dr. Crovorcian'.

 

This is the patient of "HMO-CroWoes". Notice the gourd 'innerds'. I thought that was a nice touch. (Notice his face is similar to an earlier creation of mine -- Rub-A-Dub -- see below)

This is Rub-A-Dub (2006), a scarecrow taking a shower. The cool feature of this crow is that the shower actually had running water. Fishing line and an Elmer's wash helped preserve the Crow's sensitive skin.

2005's Tied Up at the Office or Scarecrows of the 21st Century depicts Scare M. Crow, Chief Insignificant Other, multitasking at the daily grind. In hindsight, I should have taken a picture of his desk calendar, which included many important memos and reminders including 'pick up corn at the store,' and the like.

Tubby Plays Operation (2007) is a scarecrow-sized version of the popular game Operation. All his pickin's were garden or fall related. He did have a butterfly in the stomach and a water (jug) on the knee just like the game. Unlike the game, he had jelly knees, bee's knees, corn (on the cob) on his feet and rose hips.

2004's Ride a Bike was a collaborative effort in creating crows in motion.
